Job DescriptionThis position is an Equipment Coordinator role within the Metrology department and is responsible for coordinating the delivery and pickup of calibrated equipment entering Metrology as well as returning equipment to end users. The primary responsibility is to scan equipment that is due for calibration and assign it to the appropriate calibration station.
We are seeking a candidate who is interested in learning calibration processes and is willing to train during available downtime, with the potential to advance into a Calibration Technician role in the future. This role involves regular interaction with internal and external customers, as well as close collaboration with Metrology technicians.
The position includes training opportunities toward obtaining an ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) certification. We are looking for someone with long-term career goals who is motivated to grow within Metrology and potentially transition into a Calibration Technician role later in their career.
The Operations Strategic Capabilities Unit plays a fundamental role in enabling efficient business and program execution - from strategic capital investments, industrial operations and an efficient supply chain, to state-of-the-art manufacturing and test operations and top-notch facilities management.
What You'll Do:
- Pick-up and delivery of IMTE (Inspection, Measuring, and Test Equipment) to on and off campus locations utilizing company owned vehicles.
- Answer questions and direct calls/emails relating to calibration and repair of IMTE.
- Interface with internal customers and outside vendors.
- Assist with asset management.
- Calibrate, inspect, troubleshoot, and/or repair lifting hardware, ion blowers, and dimensional IMTE as assigned.
- Document calibration and repair activities in accordance with established procedures.
- Apply calibration system requirements as per ANSI Z540 and ISO 17025 standards.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Implement EHS processes and procedures; recognize safety hazards, including hazardous materials, and pursue corrective action when necessary.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- High School diploma or equivalent plus 1 or more years of related experience.
- Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Bachelor's or Master's, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
- Understanding of Metrology terms and practices.
- Familiar with the different types of electrical, physical, and dimensional IMTE.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs of equipment.
- A good working knowledge of MS Office to include Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- As this position requires operating a company vehicle, an offer and subsequent employment are contingent upon possessing and maintaining a valid US driver's license and successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $47614 - $76181
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
